Soccer can be a great workout and lots of fun. The health benefits include that it: increases aerobic capacity and cardiovascular health lowers body fat and improves muscle tone Soccer is a good sport for maintaining health, fitness, strength and endurance. Soccer teaches kids skills such as teamwork, perseverance, and decision making, that they'll be able to apply to all aspects of their life. It also helps them learn to weather the ups and downs of life, anticipate opportunities and how to work with their peers to solve problems.

Athleticism and fitness are important, but you don't need to be physically imposing to play soccer. Some of the world's top players, such as Lionel Messi, rely purely on skill and creativity rather than strength and stature. This makes soccer a more inclusive sport than football, for men and women. But scientists have proven that exercise does help your problem-solving skills. The benefits of sports come from its ability to get the blood flowing to your brain. This blood flow helps reduce insulin resistance, inflammation, and stimulates cell growth.

Playing soccer can help stimulate growth of your lower body, making you taller than you would have grown without playing soccer. Evasive movements and running in soccer will stretch and grow the muscles around your thighs, knees, and calves. Which leads to a taller lower body frame, increasing your height.
