Scramble for Zimbabwean Sangoma

A Zimbabwean Sangoma is in high demand in Harare despite the fact that he charges US$200 for consultations.

According to media reports from Zimbabwe, his clients include high profile business people, politicians and ordinary Zimbabweans.

Foreigners have also been thronging Zimbabwe to consult him with their problems.

Sekuru Tasvo, who was born Gift Muzanenhamo, abandoned his faith healing practice to become a traditional healer.

His profile had greatly grown that he was eventually featured on the front page of a leading Zimbabwean newspaper.

One of his neighbours told H-Metro that he initially thought Sekuru Tasvo had opened a garage, which repairs posh vehicles only, before he knew who he was.

The neighbour said posh cars and affluent people throng the Sangoma's house.

Sekuru Tasvo has more than 10 interpreters, as he speaks to his clients, in another language.

He serves his clients free food but accommodation has become a challenge.

It is also reported that one people queue for more than a week just to consult him.
