According to several media reports, it is a sure thing now that South Africa will be going back to level four or 3 lock down during the festive season. This came after numerous celebrities including the Former Generations actress, Thuli Phongolo, tested positive for the corona virus in the past week. Furthermore it is said that due to the majority a lot of citizens refusing to vaccinate, the country has been left vulnerable to another variant attack.
However, what has angered South Africans the most is that South Africa is the only country in Africa, that will be experiencing the corona virus fourth wave as well as lock down restrictions during the festive season. Speaking to the current minister of health, this is what he had to say:
“Well we are trying by all means to ensure that we avoid severe lock downs. we are working around the clock and studying the developments everyday. We want to do as much as we can in terms of social restrictions to avoid super spreading, but without taking away too much from the liberties of people socially and economically. So we will advise accordingly,” he concluded.
various South Africans have started flocking to the stores to stock up on alchohol, so that when the President starts giving the national address- they are well off.
