COVID-19: SA records more than 11 000 cases, positivity rate jumps to 22,4%

South Africa recorded more than 11 000 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday, 2 December, as per the National Institute of Communicable Diseases (NICD). The 51 402 tests led in the course of recent hours address an energy pace of 22,4 percent up from the previous 16,5 percent. Gauteng keeps on driving the influx of new contaminations.

Most of the cases recognized on Thursday were found in Gauteng (72%), trailed by the Western Cape (6%) and KwaZulu-Natal (5%).

Limpopo, Mpumalanga and the North West each represented 4%, individually, while, the Free State and Eastern Cape had 2% each. The Northern Cape adjusted the rundown with 1% of the cases on Thursday.
