The latest Covid-19 update that was provided by the Zimbabwe Ministry of Health and Child Care revealed that there were only two provinces in in Zimbabwe that recorded less than ten new Covid-19 cases as of the 25th of January 2022 . Statistics revealed that Matabeleland South recorded five new cases whereas Bulawayo recorded only eight new cases . These low numbers in regard to the new cases should be hope to the rest of the country that they can be reached by other provinces .
It was Mashonaland West Province that managed to record the highest number of new Covid-19 cases . It had 67 new cases and was closely followed by Manicaland province that had a total of 44 new cases . It is clear however that even though there were provinces like Matabeleland South which recorded as low as five cases , the new daily Covid-19 cases in the country were still above one , meaning that there is a need for people in Zimbabwe to continue playing it safe as far as curbing the pandemic .
The total number of new Covid-19 cases that were recorded for the whole country on the 25th of January was 235 , and this figure meant that Zimbabwe now has a total of 228 776 cases that have bee identified positively .Information regarding the active number of Covid-19 cases should also be taken note of . Mashonaland East and Mashonand West are still the provinces that have the highest number of active Covid-19 cases .
As of the 25th of January 2022 , Mashonaland East had 2721 active cases , with Mashonaland West having 1365 active cases .Bulawayo is the province in Zimbabwe that had the lowest number of active cases , in comparison to other provinces . The province had 187 Covid-19 active cases in accordance with the latest information released .
