Lockdown on the cards, Ramaphosa calls for urgent NCCC meeting

The president of the republic of South Africa and African National Congress, President Cyril Matamela Ramaphosa spent some days in West Africa, for state visit. He visited Nigeria and then ivory coast.

While president Cyril Matamela Ramaphosa was away, Covid-19 daily infection rate increases. It has doubled the daily infection rate since he addressed the nation.

Yesterday he begged South African citizens to remain calm since there are only few people whom are being hospitalized.

Should South Africa brace for a hard lockdown? President Cyril Matamela Ramaphosa urged the National Coronavirus Command Council (NCCC) to urgently look at Omicron interventions as Covid-19 infections surge.

Minister in the office of the Presidency, minister Mondli Gungubele, said the National Coronavirus Command Council (NCCC) will convene an urgent sitting as soon as president Cyril Matamela Ramaphosa lands on Wednesday.

Lets hope president will come up with good news to the South Africans.
