The African National Congress (ANC) head of organising minister paid off supplier invoices using her personal account on behalf of her daughter's company. This was a major blunder by the minister as it has come back to bite her in the bum. It is believed that the contract was to supply 200 000 175g Dettol bars of soap to the Gauteng health department for R2 790 000. Mokonyane paid R1 650 000 from her personal account to Tuwo Rhodesia and in April 2020, the company bought the soaps from Continental Cash and Carry (CCNC) at a price of R1 509 407. In hindsight, this was the wrong decision to take.

Why do you think ANC officials are always implicated in corruption charges?
