Skin Care

Parts of the Body you should avoid touching with your Hands

Touching certain body parts is a habit we all have. Take at least the example of Rafael Nadal, who performs a "touching procedure" every time before serving, whether there are people around or not.

However, let's leave aside the norms of social behavior and talk about the real problem behind touching certain parts of the body with our bare hands: health problems.

Our fingers touch keyboards, money, doorknobs, tables and chairs, etc... they're full of bacteria, and you can't wash your hands every time you touch something. That's why, according to Men's Health, you should never touch these body parts with your bare hands:

- The skin under your fingernails.

Dirt, which is not removed even by washing your hands, should never get on your hands! There are a lot of germs there, and if you try to remove them, you could end up getting them even deeper, possibly even opening a scar and pushing them right into your skin and blood.

- Your buttocks.

Your butt contains bacteria that can be dangerous - always wash it after going to the bathroom! Also, don't pull or scratch it with too much toilet paper, as this can lead to hemorrhoids.

- Eyes

Because the eyes are so soft and contain a liquid substance, they can easily become irritated or absorb germs with their sticky liquid. Make sure that you never touch your eyes during the day, and if you do, gently rinse them with cold water without rubbing. Conjunctivitis and similar bacterial infections are very easy to get.

- Ear Canal

The ear is a very sensitive canal and should be poked with caution. The fine lines of the ear canal can easily be torn with your finger or scratched with your fingernails.

Skin eczema and other infections can also easily be caused by constant ear picking. If you feel like scratching your ear, it's best to scratch it with a tissue, but carefully.

- The Face

The skin on the face is very delicate compared to other parts of our body. Not surprisingly, pimples and redness can easily appear on the face. Also, the pores on your face become very prominent and irritated, and sometimes they can stay open and ruin the beauty of your face forever.

- Your mouth.

Last but not least, the mouth, through which we eat and through which substances from the outside enter our circulatory system, should be the last place in the world where we should stick our fingers. Nail biting and similar actions are terrible. Imagine all the germs you are infecting your body with.

If you can't keep your fingers still and away from those body parts, find something to do. Draw something when you're bored, play with your fingers, but stay away from those body parts, especially your face and mouth.
