Cape Town – South Africa recorded 300 new Covid-19 cases and 11 Covid-19-related passings in the past 24 hours, the National Institute for Communicable Diseases (NICD) said in an attestation followed through on Sunday.
This brings the total number of examination office certified cases to 2 919 632. The development tends to a 1.4% motivation rate.
"As indicated by the National Department of Health, a further 11 Covid-19 related passings have been represented, conveying total fatalities to 88 925 to date," said NICD senior correspondences boss Sinenhlanhla Jimoh in the attestation.
Jimoh said the vast majority of new cases today are from KwaZulu-Natal (23%), followed by Gauteng and Western Cape addressing 19% each.
Northern Cape addressed 10%; Eastern Cape addressed 9%; North West and Mpumalanga addressed 6% each and Free State addressed 5%.
The total number of cases today (300) is lower than yesterday (449) and beneath the ordinary number of cases every day over the 7 going before days (434).
