The President of South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosa announced during his last national state address that they were looking at ways to make the vaccine mandatory. South Africans did not receive this well as many still do not want to vaccinate.
South African has been witnessing very slow vaccinations. People do not want to vaccinate and are against the mandatory vaccinations. Some people have went as far as planning a march to the union buildings against this and lockdown restrictions which are believed to be unconstitutional.
@EFF Tshwane W/Veldt - Before mandatory vaccination, let's start by mandatory employment.
South Africa’s unemployment rate is at it's highest since 2008. People are demanding jobs. However, if Vaccinations are ever made mandatory, it will be even harder for people to get jobs, especially those who are unvaccinated.
One person however clapped back to the EFF by stating that in order to get jobs, foreigners should go home.
@MtimkhluM - Agree, and it is quite easy. Just get your members (foreigners) to go home and see 2Million jobs opened for SAcans immediately. You promote displacement of SAcans in jobs in SA and want the economy to create jobs from thin air.
It seems people are still upset over the EFFs foreign policy and seem to be unforgiving. While the government could produce jobs for it's citizens such as Teaching Assistants, for those who have not gotten these opportunities, do not wait for the government. If you receieve R350, buy sweets or ice pops and sell for profit to make more money for survival. Small businesses also present opportunities for employment.
