Level 2 considered and More evidence needed before banning alcohol

I must say the Health workers have been working three times harder. The pandemic is not any news to us anymore. It has taken alot from us.That is why Health officials have called in heavy stricter measures,Since the cases have been rising and a possible third wave on the way.

The National Coronavirus Command Council(NCCC)will be having a meeting today 25 May about this issue as to what are the measures that could help us.I thought the vaccines are enough but okay.

One of these possible discussions is the moving from Level 1 to Level 2 Lockdown,I know,We progress and we fall back. This is the advise provided by the Health Ministry and other Commitee. This will include tougher and further restrictions,Social Gatherings,And the Curfew.

This came after Dr Zweli Mkhize commented on,The restrictions in South Africa since the rising of infections,At some point"We need to start looking at additional restrictions"He said.

We must maintain balance 2000 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours that were reported.

The President was addressed about this.Alcohol can't be banned because it has no harmful effect. The National Liquor Traders Council(NLTC)fought that in the future there should be deeper evidence before they make that decision of banning alcohol and there is a letter that was sent to the president himself on Alcohol specifications on banning it.

It was added that alcohol played it part,As it own industry and commited in the stopping of spreading the virus. So there investments made by the alcohol industry.Gatherings are made by peoples choices,Not alcohol.
