Fourth Wave Confirmed. We are less than a month away.

At the moment South Africa is experiencing a relatively calm period when it comes to the Coronavirus Pandemic. With the number of new cases and deaths having both dripped significantly. However this calm won't last forever and according to experts we will be experiencing another wave of the virus sooner rather than later. Heres when it's predicted to happen and how you can protect yourself from it.

The December virus :

According to experts the next wave of the virus will hit us some time in December, this is during the holiday season and it's a time when people spend a lot of time travelling. So it makes sense to try and protect yourself from the virus as we are less than a month away from December and less than a month away from the predicted fourth wave. Here are steps you can take to keep yourself and your family safe.

While the basic precautions remain the same, wear a mask and social distance, there are many other precautions you can take during a wave. Let's start by keeping isolated and not accepting guests. While it's customary for people to go out visiting friends and family during the Christmas period, you do not want anyone to bring the virus your doorstep. Which is why you should make it known that you will not be accepting guests during this period.

While there is a lot of vaccine hesitancy in South Africa, the truth is that taking the vaccine can save your life. To everyone currently avoiding it I would like to encourage you to once again do your research and learn about how the vaccine protects people from the virus.
