These past two years it has been a strain for the president has been struggling to save both lives and livelihoods. Our economy has been unstable for a while since businesses were closed down for a while and even after being opened, they were requested to operate on limited time and resources. A lot of people lost their loved ones during this pandemic and it is very stressful. The vaccine programme was introduced in order to slow down the spread of the virus and reduce the number of deaths.
President Cyril Ramaphosa will address the nation at 20h00 today, Thursday, 30 September 2021, on developments in the country’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The president will inform us which level we are going and the restrictions which will be eased or tightened. The decisions will be made based on whether there's a decline in the number of infections or not.
