6 Important Fruits That Clears The Eyes

Eyes should be taken as the first priority because of their importance. The eyes therefore need a certain amount of nutrients to keep them functioning normally and properly. However, some fruits contain nutrients that are beneficial for vision.

Poor vision is a more common problem today, and we tend to blame it on a spike in cell phone use, long hours at the computer, or watching too much TV. However, these factors play a role in affecting the sense of sight, but we should not ignore malnutrition, which is another important factor that can lead to deterioration of eye health.

Our diet is geared towards nourishing the eyes, so it's important to include foods that can positively affect it. In particular, fruits are a storehouse of nutrients, and some fruits contain more eye-healthy nutrients than others.

Here are some fruits that are considered healthy for the eyes.

1. Pineapple

Consumption of pineapple helps to reduce muscle degeneration and eye problems, especially seen in the elderly, due to the high vitamin C and antioxidants it contains.

Studies show that it helps prevent fat deposition under the retina as it helps build connective tissues in the body, such as the eyes.

2. Orange

Orange tops the citrus list because of its popularity. It contains vitamin C, which can help fight cataracts, and its high water content keeps the eyes moist.

3. Avocado

Eating avocado plays a vital role in maintaining healthy vision due to its high content of lutein and zeaxanthin compounds. Avocado helps improve night vision and protect eyes from harmful ultraviolet rays.

4. Mango

Mango is not available all year, but I recommend eating it in season. This fruit is packed with vitamin A, an antioxidant that protects bacteria and infections from the surface of the eyes. Vitamin A deficiency causes dryness and cloudiness, which can pose some risk to overall eye health.

5. Blueberry

Blueberries are sweet and sour berries that contain tremendous anti-inflammatory and rhodopsin-replenishing properties that provide support to the blood vessels of the eyes. In addition, the anthocyanins in this fruit prevent the retinal arteries from locking. Finally, I recommend that you consult a specialist or your doctor for more information.
