Imagine having grey hairs in your early twenties, this is not normal at all. Grey hair has always been linked to premature aging which is not always the reason. While it might not be a major cause for concern, grey hair is a common condition that could be an underlying sign of different infections. It has been established that a number of diseases have been highly associated with grey hairs.


 


This is what grey hairs say about your health;


1. You may be suffering from vitamin deficiency.


Lack of enough nutrients, vitamins in the body can be the reason why you have grey hairs. The body needs vitamin B12 for production of red blood cells, DNA, melanin. It plays numerous roles in ensuring that you are in good shape. Since the body doesn' t naturally synthesize this vitamin, you will need to incorporate healthy foods that are endowed with them. A good example of such foods include eggs, fish, poultry, meat and dairy products. Grey hairs is a lucid sign that you are not having vitamin B12 giving foods.


 


2. The condition has been linked to heart diseases


Numerous studies have shown that people with grey hairs are highly susceptible to heart attacks, failures and coronary artery disease. Even though the relationship between grey hairs and heart diseases has not been clearly illuminated, a cardiologist at University of Egypt, Dr Samuel Irini established that grey hairs are risk factors for cardiovascular infections.


3. Grey hair could be a sign of an autoimmune condition.


 

Also known as alopecia aeata, it is an skin disease that occurs when the immune system damages the hair follicles. According to Dr Day, normally the condition triggers grey hairs to appear after ravaging the hair follicles.


4. Stress


Chronic stress can be dangerous and devastating. Being stressed up can lead to grey hairs according to a report published in 2013. If you have noticed any grey hair, this could be a clear sign of stress. Talk to your doctor about it before the condition gets out of hand.
