We don't drink nearly enough water. The difficulty is that we don't realize we're thirsty until we're already dehydrated, at which point it's too late and we must wait for the body to rehydrate.
Toxins are stored in fat cells and the lymphatic system, so if you're not drinking enough water, they can build up and trick your mind and body into seeking food. Drinking more water will not only help you burn more calories, but it will also make you feel less hungry overall, so drinking water before meals will help you eat less.
On the go bottle even at work
It's a lot easier to drink water when it's close at hand. Keep your water bottle at work and refill it multiple times throughout the day. Setting a reminder on your laptop or phone calendar to remember yourself to drink water throughout the day is also a good idea.
If your kitchen tap isn't connected to a filter or an in-line pitcher with a filter, this will most likely be the most important thing you can do to improve your drinking habits!
Use of flavors
For a wonderful treat, add some fruit to your water. For added taste, consider adding lemon or cucumber slices.

When you're thirsty, your body has been dehydrated for hours, and it's too late to avoid health complications. Instead, attempt to drink enough water throughout the day to avoid becoming thirsty.

It's easy to forget about your daily water intake goals if you don't make it a part of your routine. Set up reminders on your phone or write a "reminder" on a sticky note to remind you throughout the day.
