The last statistics that were released by the Ministry of Health and Child Care showed that Masvingo had recorded the highest number of new Covid-19 cases than the rest of the provinces in Zimbabwe . This was due to the fact that it recorded 106 new Covid-19 cases on the 24th of January .
It was the only province that recorded a figure above 100 .The second highest total in terms of new infections was the number 46 , and it was Manicaland .Mashonaland East completed the top three highest recording provinces in Zimbabwe , with only 36 new daily cases .
There were only three provinces that managed to record less than 10 new daily Covid-19 cases .These also happened to be the provinces that recorded the lowest numbers of new daily cases . Bulawayo recorded seven new cases , while Mashonaland was on eight cases . Midlands completed the top three provinces with the lowest number of new Covid-19 cases .The number of active Covid-19 cases in Zimbabwe stood at 9 128 according to the last information that was shared by the Ministry of Health and Child Care .
Information that was shared revealed that there were three provinces in Zimbabwe that had more than 1000 active Covid-19 cases The province that still has the highest number of active Covid-19 cases in Zimbabwe is Mashonaland East ,which has 2722 .
Mashonaland West is the province that had the second highest number of active infections on the 24th of January,having 2 274 . The third province that had the highest number of active cases was Manicaland with 1001 cases . When the information from the Ministry of Health and Child Care is looked at , it can be noted that there is no province that has a zero in active cases . This means that Covid-19 safety protocols need to be adhered to always .
