President Cyril Ramaphosa Could Implement Lockdown Level 5 During The Festive Season | (Opinion)

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa left a lot of people in the country surprised after he announced that there will be no new Lockdown restrictions implemented in the country during the National Adress, President Cyril Ramaphosa said that the Corona Virus (Covid-19) vaccines are the reason why the country will not have yet another hard Lockdown, for now.

However, there are now some reports and speculations that President Cyril Ramaphosa will implement a hard Lockdown before the end of the year during the festive season, because of what is happening in the country with regards to the Corona Virus.

According to reports, the Covid-19 cases are increasing at an alarming rate South Africa as the country is officially in the fourth wave of Covid-19 infections, and fourth wave was very much influenced by the newly identified Omicron Covid-19 variant, and due to these factors President Cyril Ramaphosa is expected to implement Lockdown Level 5 very soon.
