If you have not been worrying about the increasing Covid-19 cases in South Africa , you need to start doing so by taking good care of yourself .South Africa experienced another spike in Covid-19 positive infections on Thursday evening .This is because the country recorded an increase to 2 465 new positive Covid-19 cases .
This was according to the statistics that were provided by the National Institute for Communicable Diseases .This took the total number of cases to 2 952 500 .A positivity rate of 6.5% was recorded on Thusday.There were 114 new Covid-19 related illnesses on Thursday evening , meaning that South Africa has lost 89 771 people to date .
These statistics come at a time when it was announced that there had been a detection of a new Covid-19 variant . The announcement was made known in the morning . There is need for people to continue adhering to lockdown regulations to help curb the spread of infections .
