Unvaccinated Kenyans To Be Restricted From Using Basic Services By December

From the 21st of December, anyone who has not been vaccinated will be prohibited from using public transportation or entering government facilities in Kenya, according to the country's authorities.

Mutahi Kagwe, the Minister of Health, made the statement on his behalf.

Vaccination rates in Kenya are currently less than 10% of the population, according to government statistics.

According to official statistics, the government has administered 6.4 million vaccinations out of a total of 10.7 million doses that have been received.

Infection rates, on the other hand, continue to be relatively low. An average of 59 infections are reported to the authorities every day.

The government has set a goal of vaccinating ten million people by the end of December, which it hopes to achieve. This, however, represents just about 20% of the total population of the country.
