3. Vitamin D.
Vitamin D is another vitamin that many people with diabetes may be lacking. Its main source is exposure to sunlight.
4. Vitamin C.
Vitamin C is another very important vitamin that people struggling with diabetes may need. It is mainly obtained from fruit and vegetables. Green vegetables and fruits are a rich source of these vitamins.
According to the health line, most people with diabetes tend to have low levels of vitamin C than people who do not have diabetes.
5. Vitamin E.
Vitamin E is another vitamin needed by people struggling with diabetes. It is one of the vitamins that, in addition to vitamin C and A, act as antioxidants in the body.
Rich sources of these vitamins include nuts and seeds, such as sunflower and safflower oil and seeds, spinach, broccoli and pumpkin, almonds, peanut butter, and red pepper.
Even though we can obtain these vitamins from dietary supplements when recommended by a doctor, it is always better to obtain them from food sources.
