Look why Thabo Mbeki is dragged on ARV issues again on Twitter

The drugs used to treat HIV are called antiretroviral drugs (ARVs). There are several different types and they work in different ways. HIV treatment is made up of three or more antiretroviral drugs normally combined into one pill.

This drug mostly started to be known in South Africa, during the era of President Thabo Mbeki. Yesterday and today the issue of ARVs is back on the table and it drag the former president Thabo Mbeki again because he refused to buy this drugs while there were so many people who were diagnosed with HIV and AIDS.

Now the social media is divided with some people in support of him and others against him.

Judge John Deed said, "Truth be told, SA hasn't had a President since Thabo Mbeki. And, no, I'm not his groupie."

Kandani, "Thabo Mbeki was a President of WMC who built their economy and didn’t want to even distribute ARVs to natives, he shut down teacher, nurse training and privatised in a smart way. He admitted that the Eskom crises started with him. We need objective measures and not emotions."

Nala TK, " Thabo Mbeki AIDS denialism was terror to black people, so patient with us if we can’t sing the man praise.

Denying our people ARVs ..man 💔💔 100s of thousands of avoidable child headed mushroomed in late 90s and early 2000s. At some point 900 people were dying per day "

Odwa said," You forget to Mention that Mbeki established a research program for HIV/AIDS in Groote Schuur hospital. ARV's were meant to keep patients enough to Dump Millions of rands to pharmaceutical Giants! Go read about Martin Shkreli a hedge fund manager who inflated HIV medication"
