Limpopo Health MEC Dr Phophi Ramathuba and Transport and Community Safety MEC Mavhungu Lerule Ramakhanya will visit Thabazimbi Taxi Rank in the Waterberg District to monitor COVID-19 vaccination rollout and compliance to step up the fight against Covid-19 in the province.
Anyone who 18 years old and above, and reside around Thabazimbi in the vicitinity of the Taxi Rank are urged to take their Identity cards and visit the vaccination sites for inoculation.
"We continue to encourage our taxi drivers and owners to get vaccinated as they are always in contact with many people on a daily basis. Covid-19 cases in the province have shown a great decline and as such, we encourage everyone to use this opportunity and vaccinate to avoid the after-effects of the predicted 4th wave".said MEC Ramakhanya.
"We continue to encourage anyone who is 18 years old and above to continue to visit any of our 37 primary sites, secondary sites and our private sites, where they will be vaccinated. It is important to be vaccinated to avoid getting seriously ill or dying from Covid-19. Let's register for COVID-19 vaccination using the Electronic Vaccination Data System (EVDS), Whatsapp, or SMS to avoid waiting for long at the vaccination sites". says MEC Ramathuba
