Duduzile Zuma said she will not comply with President Ramaphosa’s lockdown regulations

President Cyril Ramaphosa will address the nation at 8pm , the president met with Minister of Cogta , Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma , Minister of Health , Joe Phaahla , Provincial premiers , MEC’s and Metro mayors .

The address by the president is coming after the medical doctors of South Africa have discovered a new variant which is called “omicron “ .

Omicron variant has being driving the new infections within the country and making the numbers to go high again .

Since it’s discovery , the omicron variant has made several countries around the globe to impose a temporary travel ban to South Africa.

However the sources within the meeting which was held by president Cyril Ramaphosa are saying that the country is likely to remain the country within alert level one .

President Cyril Ramaphosa is said to be going to re-emphasise to citizens to mask up ,social distance and sanitise.

However some people are saying that Ramaphosa talks about Covid-19 will no longer be taken serious checking the way he was holding huge gatherings during elections when campaigning for the ANC . 

Duduzile Zuma who is the daughter of the former President is saying that she will not comply with the regulations which will be imposed by Ramaphosa tonight .

However Ramaphosa is said to be going to set up a task team that will recommend to him if mandatory vaccination is the way to go .Mandatory vaccination will lead those who are not vaccinated to be excluded from certain areas .

Most people in South Africa are still hesitant on being vaccinated, especially the youth . Joe phaahla who is the Health Minister said that the country is no longer stocking the vaccines because there is close to 10 million vaccines which are not utilised within the country .

Ramaphosa speech tonight will receive mixed reactions from citizens since it has being long that he address .
