SA Covid-19 fatalities increased on Sunday evening

Covid-19 was first detected in South Africa in 2020 and people have been dying on a daily basis . As of Sunday , Statistics that were released by the National Institute for Communicable Diseases showed that there was a total of 17 people who had died as a result of Covid-19 related illnesses .It was an an increase from the 10 fatalities that were recorded on Saturday evening . The number of people who have since died from Covid-19 in South Africa now stands at 94177 .

Moving on with the main issue of infections , there were some cases that were detected in the country on Sunday . The new number of Covid-19 cases that were recorded on Sunday showed that they decreased 1 931 from the 3049 cases that were recorded on Saturday . In order to help reduce infections , the health sector introduced some measures which include avoiding crowded spaces , and sanitising of surfaces and hands The total number of Covid-19 cases that have been noted since 2020 now stands at 3 581 358.

The active number of cases that the country has in terms of Covid-19 cases stands at 75 627 . IT is therefore helpful to ensure that people adhere to the correct procedures to prevent themselves from contracting Covid-19 . There has been calls for people to get vaccinated against the pandemic . There are various Covid-19 vaccination sites from which people can get vaccinated . Vaccination has been proven to be helpful towards helping reduce hospitalizations and even deaths from the pandemic .

It is good however that South Africa continues to do everything to ensure that measures are in place to help curb the spread of the pandemic . This includes Covid-19 awareness campaigns to encourage people to get vaccinated . Are you vaccinated against the pandemic .
