Minister Ibrahin Patel has also tested positive for coromavirus. According to a statement released by his office, he is said to be in good spirits and looking forward to his recovery.
Patel joins the likes of president Cyril Ramaphosa who has just come out of Isolation following a trip to west Africa.
Ebrahim Patel is a South African cabinet minister, who holds the position of Minister of Trade, Industry and Competition. He previously served as Minister of Economic Development from 2009 to 2019
Another government member who had just come out of Isolation is the MEC of Education in Gauteng, Mr Panyaza Lesufi, who has announced that he feels much better and is grateful for the gift of life.
South Africa has recorded over 91 000 deaths due to the virus, while over 2 millions people have also been infected. Joburg Mayor Geoff Makhubo died last year after succumbing to covid19 complications.
