Health COVID

Covid-19 updates|| 16 055 new cases recorded in the last 24 hours

We know that the government is trying so hard for people to get vaccinated and they will say whatever is nessessary to get people to vaccinate. The minister of heath Joe Phaahla says that people who are vaccinated only shows mild symptoms but on the other hand those who are unvaccinated require hospitalisation.

There is also a concern about those people who got vaccinated with the Pfizer vaccine. We know that Pfizer requires two jabs and there are people who have gone for the first jab but some of them have not gone back to get the second jab. This means that they are not fully vaccinated and that could still put them in danger just like those ones who have not been vaccinated. The minister of health is pleading with all those who are not fully vaccinated to go back and take their second jab.

In theast 24 hours the number of new cases recorded is 16 055 and the day before it was just more than 11 000 cases. It is just a matter of time before the minister of health official declares that South Africa is in a fourth wave. And Ramaphosa's family meeting is loading. There are high chances that he will address the nation yet again this weekend.

The number of death recorded in the last 24 hours is 25 which remains very low given the new cases that are being recorded daily. The positivity rate has sky rocketed and it is now at 24.3% which is a call for concern.

Gauteng province as always is the epicenter as it recorded 11 553 new cases in just a single day but when you look around, people are just going on about their daily lives and some you can see that are even adhering to the covid19 regulations.
