It is quite interesting to hear that now the isolation period should be reduced from 10 days to 7 days for patients who have the covid19 symptoms.
The isolation period for Covid-19 patients with symptoms should be reduced from 10 days to seven, the ministerial advisory committee (MAC) has recommended. But people will be required to still keep on wearing masks for 7 to 10 days. This comes as people have been wondering what is the isolation period because we saw that the president did not isolate for 10 days as we have all known it but for 7 days. The 7 days isolation period might be helpful to some people because 10 days is just too much even though it was reduced from 14 to 10 days.

Its recommendation to health minister Joe Phaahla is dated December 16, the same date it suggested quarantining be discontinued immediate effect for contacts of cases of Covid-19.
