The eNCA news released some statistics for South Africa regarding the Covid-19 infections which rose to above the 1000 mark . This came after the daily positive Covid-19 infections rose to 1275 . This is the first time in a long while to have such a figure in a day .
The increase represented a 3.6% positivity rate .Moving on to the number of Covid-19 related infections , there were 22 more people who died as a result of illnesses related to the pandemic . There are 89 657 people who have been lost in South Africa as a result of Covid-19 related sicknesses .
The Gauteng Province remains the Covid-19 hotspot in South Africa .This was after the province made a contribution of more than 1000 positive Covid-19 new infections . This is worrying for those who reside in Gauteng as the infections keep rising on a daily basis . This figure is the highest in a long while .
