Marburg is a fatal virus newly described, especially attacking the respiratory system. The BBC reports that the sickness is very contagious and was originally detected in Guinea when one person had Marburg virus symptoms.

Once ingested, the person develops breathing problems and difficulties breathing. The sickness has symptoms similar to Ebola, which killed hundreds of people living in western Africa and reportedly suffered from the Marburg virus shortly after infection. Laboratory tests confirmed that during the few hours he was exposed to the Marburg virus, ravages had occurred in his respiratory system. Several diseases are often spread by fruit bats according to the World Health Organization.
