Gogo dies outside the local clinic

It was a question of life and death, as the elderly Triphina Tsotetsi saw that she was struggling for her life. It is known that her relatives rushed her to a nearby clinic in Tsakane, East Johannesburg.

The family alleges that the nurses at the clinic told them they weren't different, and they had to wait for their turn when they called out for help.

“My mom took her last breath at the back of my car. She died crying for help. We told the nurses it was an emergency and explained she was struggling to breathe,” said the deceased son Elliot Tsotetsi.

According to Elliot, the nurses did not care at all, they were told that the clinic had reached full capacity inside. They 're supposed to wait.

It is believed that the nurses started treating the dead when they heard dangerous cries and wails.

”They checked her pulse and said it was too late. Gogo could not step to the clinic because she was too weak.”

MMC for health in Ekurhuleni Nomadlozi Nkosi visited the family yesterday, but it is understood that the meeting ended on a sour note.

The family wants legal action to be taken against the facility.
