Professor Karim Abdool is reported to be concerned about those members of the public who are not yet vaccinated .Experts are reported to be concerned over those who are saying no to getting vaccinated , regarding what was announced last week regarding a new Covid-19 variant .
Professor Karim went on and revealed that the increase in Covid-19 infections and the recently discovered variant would likely lead to pressure on the South African hospitals over the festive season .He however said that those who are vaccinated have a higher degree of protection against the pandemic .
He however thinks that those who are not vaccinated are in great danger of contracting the pandemic .The health expect went on and called for a ban for those who are not vaccinated from attending indoor events. The suggestion that was highlighted by the health expect was regarded in the report as being controversial and a reflection of frustration by health officials .
