Health benefits of sun exposure and fresh air

Time spent in the sunlight and fresh air is much needed for vitality. It doesn't only benefit a person with with energy throughout the day, but vitality helps our bodies become stronger and resilient to physical illness.

Getting around 5 to 15 minutes of sunlight two to three times a week has vitamin-D boosting benefits of sun. Sun exposure has a number of benefits to our bodies.

Here are some of the benefits of sun exposure and fresh air:

1. Improves your sleep

Sunshine regulates circadian rhythm by telling our bodies when to increase and decrease melatonin levels. When a person is exposed to the sun, the more sun exposure they get, the better the body will produce melatonin when its time to go to sleep.

Melatonin also helps lowers stress reactivity, sun exposure and fresh air helps the body regulate melatonin.

3. Maintains strong bones

Vitamin D helps the body maintain calcium and prevents thin and brittle bones. This vitamin D is best obtained by being outside, our bodies produces vitamin D when we are exposed to the sun.
