Germany is imposing lockdown only on the unvaccinated

Countries are really starting to act against this new variant that is causing resegence of the cases. We know that here in South Africa president Cyril Ramaphosa said that should the number of cases increase drastically, the issue of the mandatory vaccine should be considered.

However some countries are choosing a different route for now as a opposed to forcing people to vaccinate even thought they are still exploring this option.

Austria become one of the country to impose lockdown only on those people who have not been vaccinated and this even happened way before we knew about the existence of the new variant. Well it seems like Austria will not be the only country imposing lockdown on anti vaxxers. Germany is also following on those foot steps. They have made this measure announcement on Thursday that they will be enforcing a nation's wide lockdown only for the unvaccinated.

Unvaccinated people will be banned from accessing all but the most essential businesses, such as supermarkets and pharmacies, to curb the spread of coronavirus, outgoing Chancellor Angela Merkel and her successor, Olaf Scholz, announced Thursday, following crisis talks with regional leaders. Those who have recently recovered from Covid-19 are not covered by the ban.
