COVID-19 cases increased again in South Africa

Daily positive Covid-19 cases increased again in South Africa as they were at 11 535 on the second day of the new month of December 2021 .

The positivity rate increased to 22.4 percent on the same day . Gauteng province which is the country´s hotspot province recorded more than 8000 new positive Covid-19 cases on Thursday .

However , the country lost 44 people as a result of Covid-19 related deaths .This took the total number of fatalities to 89 915 .There are 51 402 tests that were conducted on Thursday the 2nd of December 2021 .

As these cases continue to increase in South Africa , it is clear that there is a need for the members of the community to behave in a way that will help save them from contracting the deadly virus .

The wearing of masks , social distancing and sanitising of hands are some measures that are helpful towards the curb of the spread of the virus .
