The majority of individuals are unaware that they should not exercise shortly after having a large meal. After eating, one must wait at least an hour before beginning to exercise.

More blood flows to the skeletal muscles when a person exercises. These muscles are mostly found in the arms and legs. This occurs because muscles require more oxygen and nutrients during activity in order to create more energy and allow the person to continue exercising without becoming exhausted.

Keep in mind that food passes from the mouth to the gut. Because the intestines are able to execute good digestion, cramps in the abdominal area of the body occur when the intestines do not have enough blood to digest the food inside them.

It is always advisable for people to wait at least one hour after having a substantial meal before doing any activity. This will make it easier for them to digest the meal they just ate and will quit exacerbating their digestive problem.
