It was bad news for South Africa on Friday evening as it was confirmed that 56 people had died as a result of Covid-19 related infections. There are 517 people who are confirmed to have contracted the killer disease in the past 24 hours .
There are more than 88 000 people who have succumbed to the pandemic since it was first reported in South Africa in 2020.The Gauteng province, KZN , Free State and the Western Cape are reported to have been the provinces that contributed a lot in regard to new infections .Even though South Africa is under level 1 of lockdown, it should be noted that it is not yet out of the woods .The community members still need to adhere to Covid-19 protocols such as social distancing, wearing of masks and sanitising .There is need for some members of the community to also get vaccinated against the pandemic in order to help reduce the possibility of contracting Covid-19.
