This generation and administration will surely be remembered as it's joy came to a dead end when the Democratic Government of South Africa first announced that the rights of some people would be restricted.

People were forced to restrict their movement and were sometimes not even allowed to go out through their gates. This comes during the days of the severe blockade in the Republic of South Africa imposed by the arrival of the Covid-19 pandemic. People have been prevented from doing so much and are doing everything in their power to contain the spread of this deadly virus, Covid-19, which has killed so many people around the world.

After 2 years of strict lock down protocols, there are now reports that South African President Cyril Ramaphosa is actually considering ending the National lockdown soon. The damage is too great, with some losing loved ones and others their source of income.

Meanwhile, just yesterday the ministry of health and NICD reported that 3,962 new cases of Covid-19 were identified in South Africa, bringing a total of 3,572,860 laboratory-confirmed cases, this was confirmed by the National Institute of Infectious Diseases. This came with 31 deaths.

South Africa's smallest and most populous province, Gauteng, accounted for most of South Africa's new cases on Thursday, followed by the Western Cape and KwaZulu-Natal. A total of 37,484 tests have been carried out in the last 24 hours, giving a positive rate of 10.6% taking into account the number of new cases.

With the current stats, do you still think the lockdown should be completely lifted or should the government impose a stricter lockdown so we can defeat the virus once and for all? Don't forget to share this good news.
