But in the end, "the effort of choosing healthy foods is a great way to protect yourself from chronic illness" and still feeling full.

Here are some ways overeating can harm you.

 Weight Gain

Overeating, and especially the wrong foods, catastrophically lead to weight gain. you will start to gain weight.

“Chronic overeating” can also affect mental health. A large part of your self-image and self-esteem depends on how you think about how you look. Very often, people who gain weight from overeating tend to lose self-confidence.

The downside is that it can lead to "depression" after a long time, according to Brown University. And when you have a negative self-image, it leads to "anxiety, intimacy and sexual difficulties and unnatural preoccupation with food and calories."

 Disease hazards

Overeating also increases your risk of heart disease and type 2 diabetes.

Since obesity is the result of overeating, you are certainly at high risk for certain types of diseases such as "cancer, gallbladder disease, high cholesterol and sleep apnea". In addition, you are likely to have high blood pressure, which can lead to a stroke.
