OPINION: First Prescribed Human Diet

The love that I have for you is the one pulling and pushing me to put a pen on a paper and write to you. I will not intentionally write to purposely bring forth discomfort in your spirit what would I gain, if it does I pray that you lend me an ear and hear me out. I have been explaining Bible verse by verse I pray you enjoy verse 29.

Genesis 1:29 (KJV) And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.

It is important to define words which will be key to the whole topic so that we can all be on the same page and I used Oxford dictionary to define them.

Herb is defined as any plant with leaves, seeds or flowers used for flavouring, food, medicine, or perfume.

Pulse is defined as the edible seed of a leguminous plant, for example a chick pea, lentil, or bean.

Leguminous is defined as relating to or denoting plants of the pea family (leguminosae). These have seeds in pods, distinctive flowers, and typically root nodules containing symbiotic bacteria able to fix nitrogen.

This was the first diet prescribed to us by our Creator and he knew that it was good for us to have this diet as our meat. We may feel this is out dated or anything to that line it is well and I am not suggesting change of diet for anyone, but I am only stating what is written in the Bible. Let us check Daniel 1: 12-13

Daniel 1:12-13 (KJV) Prove thy servants, I beseech thee, ten days; and let them give us pulse to eat, and water to drink. Then let our countenances be looked upon before thee, and the countenance of the children that eat of the portion of the king's meat: and as thou seest, deal with thy servants.

Even Daniel here was aware that the correct diet prescribed by God was herbs bearing seed and fruit tree bearing seed, and not this meat we are eating every day, but none must be judged by meat he or she consume. Let us check Matthew 15: 17-18;

Matthew 15:17-18 (KJV) Do not ye yet understand, that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught? But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.

Food does not defile but what comes out of the mouth does defile the man.

Watch for Genesis 1: 30 is coming soon!

Lord Jesus Christ is God.

Amen.
