It's been a couple of days since the president of South Africa Cyril Ramaphosa announced that the country will remain in level one lockdown. It hasn't been a week but this implementation of keeping South Africa at level 1 lockdown seems like it was not a great idea. For the past few days the number of new cases have worsens with yesterday reaching the highest number of cases.
As of today the cumulative number of #COVID19 cases identified in SA is 2 976 613 with 8 561 new cases reported. Today 28 deaths have been reported bringing the total to 89 871 deaths. Despite the highest number of cases are ar Gauteng province with the December holidays coming infections are bound to spread to the other province due to inter provincial travel that will occur during this season.
