
SALMONELLA FOUND IN WORLD'S BIGGEST CHOCOLATE PLANT
All customer who may have received contaminated product are urged to returned them by Barry Callebaut. The production of Chocolate in Wieze remains suspended until further notice.
During the investigation it was discovered that more products are contaminated. The chocolate factory has contacted all it's clients and asked them not to ship any products the have purchased since 25 June at Wieze plant.
The plant does not make chocolate products to be sold directly to consumer, so don't worry the contaminated goods haven't not yet made it to shops.
So you can rest easy now that you have not consumed contaminated product. The news comes a few weeks after a case of chocolate contaminated with salmonella in the ferrero factory.
The health authorities stated that on 17 of June that they had given the green light to restart the Italian factory for three months test period.
