Social media users were stirred when a man shared a photo of his favorite breakfast. Sweet potatoes and a cup of tea made up the meal. The comments drew a range of responses. Some people claimed the breakfast brought back memories of their childhoods, when they didn't have much at home. Others claimed that since sweet potatoes shouldn't be consumed with tea, they connected this meal with poverty. There has been a lot of commentary. I used to enjoy that when I was 8 years old, not realizing that my parents couldn't afford to purchase R2.50 bread, someone wrote in a comment. Another person said that it would be nice, but I have an issue with the local sweet potato. I prefer the ones from Zimbabwe, Mozambique, and Malawi. See more reactions down below.
