
Ingredients for the sponge Cake
Quarter cup of Sugar
4 large Eggs
3 cups Flour
Method
- In a large bowl mix together your flour and sugar.
- in a separate container, beat your eggs and add 1 cup of water.
- slowly pour the wet mixture into the dry mixture and mix well, ensure there are no lumps in the mixture.
- pour the batter into a tray of your desired size and let it rest for 10 minutes.
- preheat your oven while your batter rests.
- put your cake into the oven for 20 minutes at 180°. Ensure to continously check the progress of your cake
Ingredients for Icing
- Whipped cream
- icing sugar
- fresh Strawberries / any fruit of your choice.
Method
- Whip your butter cream until it is fluffy and has stiff peaks
- spread that between the layers of your cake and on top of your cake.
- add your fresh fruit as desired and sprinkle icing sugar.
