Breadcrumbed Crispy Onion Rings

This recipe for onion rings is so easy and so quick to make.

The aroma of perfectly cooked Onion rings is your sign to lay back and enjoy the weekend. 

Every crunchy bite will make you feel like you’re at a prestigious restaurant. You will surely love this golden brown finger food for your next game or movie night! 


2 Onions

1 egg

¾ cup of milk

Half a cup of all purpose flour

1 teaspoon of ground pepper 

Bread crumbs for coating

1 tablespoons of baking powder

1 tablespoon of salt

Frying oil


You add the egg, milk, salt, pepper, flour and baking powder and mix them

You slice the onions on the side so it can be a circle. And then you dip the onion rings in the batter and shake the rest off.

After that you cover the onions with bread crumbs.

You add the oil in a pan and let it heat up

Carefully lower onion ring into the cast iron, fry a few Onion rings at a time, do not overcrowd the pan. Turn over at the least once for even browning and crispy about 2-3 minutes. 

Take away from the fryer with a slotted spoon place on a cookie or wire rack to ensure crispness. Repeat with the remaining onion rings. 

Serve with your favourite dip.
