Why is it the same brand but different colour? Twitter asks about Koo beans
While you're here, please follow me.
There is a heated debate and concern on social media. Pictures of Koo branded beans are making their way around twitter. What's alarming about these pictures is that some of these tinned beans are brighter than the others, bringing about a question of, "Why are they different? Where is this food coming from?"
From the observation on Twitter, the beans bought from spaza shops owned by foreign nationals appear with a bright branding from outside but with very little colour on the inside. Basically, the actual product does not even look like it has the tomato sauce which is advertised on the branding outside.
While the branding on Shoprite's brand is a bit lighter on the outside, it has the promised tomato sauce on the actual product. The question is, are some of these tinned beans being produced at backdoor production houses?
