A farmer caused a stir on Twitter, after posting a black chicken which is allegedly the most expensive chicken in the world. The chicken is commonly known as the Ayam Cemani.
The Ayam Cemani is a rare breed of chicken from Indonesia. They have a dominant gene that causes hyperpigmentation, making the chicken mostly black, including feathers, beaks, and internal organs. Unlike other chickens, they lay only one egg in a week
This type of rare chicken breed is highly valued and rarely eaten for meat. It is estimated that they sell for more than R2000 each due to their rarity and the chick for under R50.

Some Twitter users went as far as asking about the importance of the chicken since it can not be eaten.
Given the chance, would you buy the chicken to eat? Or as a farmer what would you do with it to generate money?
