Easy Pork Rib Recipe

Braised Pork Ribs


1. Prepare 4 pounds of Country-Style pork ribs

2. Medium high heat cooking pot with 1 Tbsp of oil, add pork ribs sear the meat to golden brown on all sides

3. Add 2 Tbsp of soy sauce, 2.5 Tbsp of sugar, 2 Tbsp of cooking wine, 1 tsp of dark soy sauce, 3 large slices of gingers, 5 star anises, 1 Tbsp of peppercorns, 4 bay leaves, 1 small cinnamon stick, 1 tsp of salt and 2 cups of water

4. Close the lid turn to low heat simmer for an hour (flip the ribs over half way)

5. Let the ribs sit in the cooking pot for another 20 minutes before place on serving plate

6. Turn high heat to thicken the sauce, pour the sauce on top of the ribs, ready to serve

Tips

- ensure to regulate your temperature to avoid burning the ribs before they cook through completely.
