A Taste of South Africa to contribute towards fighting COVID-19

South African company Native Vibes and its subsidiary A Taste of South Africa plans on contributing 10% of its profits to fight the corona virus. The virus has already affected millions of people globally, leaving many unemployed and hungry.

The company has committed to provide 10% of income to the crowdfunding platform UpLift-Me, where the platform will equally distribute funds to the various COVID-19 initiatives on the platform. 

A Taste of South Africa is a specialist store that sells gift products in a form of a gift tin which contains a selection of items including Rooibos Tea, Coffee, Biltong (Beef Jerky), chocolate coated nut, caramelised nuts and dried fruit aimed at a market that enjoys gifting friends and family. 

Founder Nafeesa Vayani emphasized the importance of providing the best quality products. “Our selection of items for the set and tin is of the highest quality, we need people to experience the true flavours and foods of South Africa, I am passionate about South Africa and what we have to offer as a nation.”

“All of our products are of the highest quality but I would like to make a mention our Zulu coffee, the Assagay coffee farm is one of two coffee farms situated in Kwa Zulu Natal, but it is a farm worth visiting all year long.

We provide coffee to both local and international markets, Assagay coffee has been very well received by export agents ever since it started in 1992. Grown, processed and packaged within South African borders. The Assagay coffee farm boasts the reputation of being proudly 100% South African.” 

Assagay coffee uses only organic fertilizer and follar sprays in the farming of their 100% pure Arabica coffee.

One of their biggest markets are the tourism market for the company where many purchase the gift tins as an important component of their experience in South Africa, it serves as a reminder of special moments during their trip. 

Another market that enjoys the product is the corporate sector, where many gift this product at their end of year functions or other events throughout the year.
