Once again, South Africans boycotted Nandos SA due to racism allegations

Nando's is a South African multinational fast food chain that specialises in flame-grilled peri-peri style chicken. Founded in Johannesburg in 1987, Nando's operates over 1,200 outlets in 30 countries. Their logo depicts the Rooster of Barcelos, one of the most common symbols of Portugal.

It was once the South African most favorite restaurants and also gained some momentum on Facebook by how it used to interact unfortunately that changed few months ago.

Now Nandos South Africa is trending on Twitter and not because of good things but criticized and people boycotting it.

Apparently it seems like Nandos shared something on their Twitter which didn't seat well with people.

Nandos shared that, "We know that you know what happened in the exchange between the panelists on The Burning Platform on 21st October 2021. We are a proudly South African brand that takes the right to freedom of speech very seriously."

Fresh Mija said, "We need to put pictures, names of directors and owners of Nandos out there. We need to attach real faces and names behind the racist brand. That would be a good starting point."

Advovo shared that, "I am glad that this happened it simply shows that Nandos is racist and they work with racists. We have been warning people about the racism that's happening at Nando".
